Congratulations on completing your debt management program! You’ve made it through a challenging time and brought your debt under control, using Cambridge as a tool to help you achieve your objective. It’s quite an accomplishment, and you should be very proud of yourself. Looking back, you may consider your debt situation a detour from the road to financial freedom. We were able to shorten and smooth out that detour for you, but now that you’re back on the road, it’s time to get moving again. Take some time to relax and even treat yourself a bit, but don’t forget that you have an opportunity to really help yourself. This is a good time to take stock of your new financial situation and to make plans to keep improving it into the future.

The Next Step: Finishing a debt management program is very similar to getting a raise; you have more money available in your budget. From your first payment to your last, the money you sent in was money that could not be used for any other purpose. Now you can make that same money work for you, whether to build your emergency savings, start a college fund, create a retirement account or make a down payment for a new home. Heck, maybe you just want to go on a cruise. Whatever your goals, you are now in a better position to reach them. In order to do so, however, you need a plan. To help you create a strategy and answer whatever questions you may have, we’ve created this section of GoodPayer.com specifically for people who’ve recently completed a debt management program. Here you’ll find a free downloadable copy of our Learn Now or Pay Later financial wellness guide, and be able to print budget worksheets and spending journals any time you need them. You will also be able to learn about saving for retirement, mortgages, and other useful information.

Cambridge and the staff of GoodPayer.com are dedicated to providing all consumers with the financial knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st century. The world of credit, debt and personal finance has changed a lot over the past decade, and even more changes are ahead. Consumers need up-to-date information in order to make good financial decisions. Cambridge Credit Counseling and GoodPayer.com will be here to help. We have assisted millions of people through our website, through the credit counselors who advise consumers on a daily basis, and through the many outreach programs and partnerships we’ve created within our community. We look forward to assisting you, your family and your friends, whenever you need us.

Congratulations once again, and good luck from all of us at GoodPayer.com and Cambridge Credit Counseling.
